New Service Operational Enabling NATO Troops to Call Home Anywhere in the World

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 22, 1999-- Franklin Telecom (OTC BB:FTEL - news) Friday announced that FNet Corp., its Next Generation telephone company, is the first carrier to establish telephone service for NATO serving multinational forces situated at new locations near Kosovo.
A multi-line satellite telephone service was commissioned on Jan. 5, 1999, at a new NATO base near Kosovo providing U.S., Canadian, British and other multinational personnel with the ability to call family and friends in any country. Subsequently, a large volume of calls have been made utilizing FNet's Next Generation international network.
