That's why we can't expect the web sites to be any different...there could be a post holiday slump there too. This is a totally new way of marketing... instead of inserts in the newspaper, web sites have to find ways of getting customers to come back... Egghead has the unique sounding name, so that is a plus, easy to remember like Amazon and Yahoo... All of these names do not state what their products are, right? Customer perception of the name must be established so that people know what they are. Egghead may be known to most as the overpriced retail software store(maybe they don't know they are on the web)...this has to be changed, and fast! I would love to sit in on their marketing/planning meetings.... Annette I chose EGGS as my internet play because of the great potential of this company... if unknowns like OnSale and Mall can do it...EGGS can. I really think the strong link in this company right now should be the MARKETING.
