PALO ALTO, Jan. 21 (Reuters) - MySoftware Co. on Thursday said it expected to earn between $0.07 and $0.08 per share in its fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 on record revenues.
Fourth quarter revenues should be about 40 percent to 50 percent higher than the year-ago fourth quarter's $3.1 million, the company said in a statement.
Financial analysts had expected MySoftware to earn $0.07 per share in 1998's fourth quarter, according to investment research firm First Call.
MySoftware reported a net loss of about $1.6 million, or $0.38 a share, in the year ago quarter.
For the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 1998, the company expects earnings per share to be $0.09 to $0.10, a 15 percent to 20 percent rise over 1997, it said.
The company, a maker of software to boost productivity for small and mid-sized businesses, attributed the record revenues and net profit to strong annuity and retail sales, as well as business development partnerships.
MySoftware expects to release its audited fourth quarter results on Feb. 25.
