I like this from their website:
Republic of Chad On Nov. 15, 1998, Trinity entered into a Letter of Intent with Oriental Energy Resources and Carlton Energy Group which will allow Trinity to acquire 100% of the working interest in an approximate 100 million acre concession in the Republic of Chad. Trinity President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Wallace was expected to be in Chad the latter part of January 1999 to officially sign the formal Convention Agreement on behalf of Trinity, along with Oriental Energy Resources, Inc., and Carlton Energy Group.
The acreage is highly prospective, completely surrounding the current acreage held by the Exxon-operated consortium of Exxon, Shell and Elf on which proven reserves of approximately 1 billion barrels recoverable (plus probable and possible reserves of another 1 billion barrels) have been discovered. Access to the export pipeline, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2001, has been assured by the Chadian government.
Angola Trinity has entered into an agreement with Carlton Energy Group providing Trinity with an option to participate with Carlton in the exploration and development of a geologically attractive block offshore Angola. The offshore Angola play is one of the most active in the industry at this time, and the block under consideration is highly prospective with several known undrilled structures.
Paraguay Carlton Energy Group entered into an agreement with Grote Oil Co., and Seismic Land Services, Inc., in August 1998 whereby Carlton received the right to acquire 100% of the working interest in two oil and gas concessions in Paraguay. On Dec. 15, 1998, Carlton entered into an agreement with Trinity, assigning all of its interest in the two concessions to Trinity in exchange for various considerations. The concessions total almost 6.5 million acres, and are adjacent to areas where significant exploration activity is currently under way.
Costa Rica Trinity Gas Corporation, Inc., has entered into an agreement with Carlton Energy and its associated local partner to acquire attractive, prospective acreage offshore Costa Rica. A presentation has been made to high level government officials who have pledged their full support and cooperation, and further meetings are scheduled in San Jose in mid-February. Trinity is also evaluating the potential of power plant construction and energy marketing in this developing country.
Albania Trinity will have the first opportunity, but not the obligation, to acquire a concession onshore Albania that covers roughly 1 million acres on which there currently exists shallow oil production. Although this shallow production is excluded from the concession, there are several structures identified in deeper horizons on the block. Expected case reserve size is approximately 350 million barrels recoverable. These areas are currently under a 'force majeure' status, and if acquired by Trinity, would be held for future exploration and development. |
