Do you or anyone on the thread have E-Trade as their broker. I have heard nothing from them about my shares.

One more question to anyone. Is the web site completely up to date?
Has anyone checked it lately?

I've been through the process of registering shares a number of times via Fidelity Investments. In all cases it took no more than 2-3 weeks from the time I called them, and told them to do it, to the time the certificates showed up in the mail.....period.

Some brokerages own a market maker, and may have a vested interest in "having trouble" getting your shares for you. Fidelity does not own a market maker.....that's why I can't get them to place a stop loss for me on a listed NASDAQ stock, whereas they will do it for any stock traded on the NYSE. Full service brokerages will do a stop loss on a listed NASDQ stock because they are raping you with commissions and want to keep your business.

Getting certificates registered in your name is your right....period, and brokerages have no business discouraging anyone from doing so.
