O.T. - Now I know why "the great" IBM has a PE of 32 (or ... did on yesterday's close). Because ... they are growing at about 4% ! Another one of those "great" "growth" companies ! According to this morning's WSJ, year over year : revenues up 4%, earnings up 3.4%. (Personally, I was brought up to price equities like this as if they were bonds (or, worse -- because of the risk that their "franchise" will deteriorate)). Jon.
