Profits Journal, a Minneapolis based small-cap newsletter, had an article on Tricord [out Thur] titled Tricord Gears Up. It references the history of Tricord, and outlines the recent Canion Group investment :

Excerpts:

" Stock in Plymouth, Minn.-based Tricord Systems Inc (TRCD) has reached its highest price in nearly two years and will likely shoot up much further when the company begins selling its software later this year"

"Through November, Canion quietly purchased 281,000 shares of Tricord stock on the open market at an average price of about $0.65 cents a share, or $184,062, according to Securities and Exchange Commission records."

[Note: This was prior to the private placement which was announced on Dec. 7]

"Company spokeswoman Liz Hersey won't say whether that's [reference to the Private Placement] a signal Tricord expects its software to be selling by the end of the year. "We're not giving projections on our expectations this year." she says. "We are actively pursuing partners, but i can't say if we've lined anybody up yet."
