ImaginOn Expects Patent Issuance for its Internet Technology Within 90 DaysAll Submissions Completed on 34 Allowed Claims

SAN CARLOS, Calif., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- ImaginOn, Inc., (Nasdaq: IMON) announced today that it has completed its required submissions to the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office for the 34 claims allowed on its proprietary software technology. The Company was notified by its patent attorney that they expect the patent for its "Method and Apparatus for Database Transformation and Adaptive Playback" to issue within the next 90 days.

"Now that we know the patent will be published in the near future, we can approach some of the big players in the Internet business, like AOL, AT&T, MSN and Yahoo, and propose how our software could benefit their customers", said David Schwartz, CEO of ImaginOn.com. Schwartz' co-inventor of the technology, Len Kain, ImaginOn's VP of Engineering commented, "We think Internet users want more than just access service and a search engine for their $20 a month. Our technology can deliver real added value."

ImaginOn's new invention is the core of ImaginOn's proprietary technology forming the basis for its three software products: WorldCities 2000, WebZinger and sellONstream. Fundamentally, the newly patented invention transforms data from a spatial domain, where objects are arranged in space geometrically, to a temporal domain, where objects are arranged in time, sequentially. This provides an efficient way to automatically gather a wide range of data, of different types, from far flung chaotic sources, and then process and present it in real time. From a user's perspective, ImaginOn's invention means access and viewing from vast networks like the World Wide Web will become easier and faster.

ImaginOn, Inc., operating through its wholly-owned subsidiary, ImaginOn.com, (www.imaginon.com) is a development stage company which engineers, produces and sells business and consumer software for CD-ROM and network users, including: WebZinger, its product line of web research assistants; sellONstream, its e-commerce software solution; and WorldCities 2000 ImaginOn.com's CD travel planners.

WebZinger is a trademark of ImaginOn, Inc. (c/k/a ImaginOn.com) and is protected under U.S. Patent and U.S. Patent Pending.
