I find it interesting that all of the qualified and respected experts on Arizona dirts are from Canada or Australia.

I visited such a site near TorC NM several years ago. They were employing a fleet of dump trucks and a front end loader to haul "ore" about 30 miles to a crushing operation. They had a lengthy geology report from a respected Australian Geologist claiming the mining site was the most promising platinum prospect in the world.

After they crushed the ore to about 1/4", they trucked it another 30 miles to their pilot plant. They claimed the ore was so rich that they could not concentrate it but had to direct smelt the ore. they also had to add silver as a collector before they smelted. They gave us samples of the finished product which looked lilke silver. Two independent assayers verified that it was silver. No platinum, no gold.
The pilot plant and the stockpile are still there. Last I heard a US attorney was looking for the operators.

Good Luck.
