Is it right?

Can you please define the term, "right"? (other than being the opposite of "wrong"... :0)

As a general of Athens(?) stated to the leader of a polis being besieged by the Athenians and seeking to know the terms of surrender....

"there are no terms except that the Strong do what they will and the weak suffer what they must"

Some believers in democracy, eh??

So the CB's are threatened and they have the power to negatively impact the market through the sales of bank holdings. Think about the psychological meaning of a bank selling their gold. It sends a signal that even CB's feel gold is vastly overvalued, whether it is or not. It is the psychological "Sword of Damocles" for gold bugs spelling impendingly lower prices in the XAU should gold longs get unruly.

Or like I stated in a previous post, it was a "shot across the bow".

The nice to remember is that once shorts are finished covering, there is usually a nice return in value to the asset/equity.

Regards,

Ron
