I don't like S&P500 at 28 times forward PE. Its 100 year average is 14. John I agree these PE's are scary, but I don't think you are going to ever see the S&P at 14, except for a crash. There is just too much money out there for the stocks available. When I look at my AOl PE, I shudder! I expect, barring a turndown, for Microsoft and Cisco to carry an average 80 PE from now on, top at 100, bottom at 50.
