To those who want to use this thread to debate E*Trade's service, as opposed to their stock, despite their being another site on SI that is set up for nothing but that activity, please read the following:

** Internet Brokers Ka-Gank (a
technical term for SNAFU)!

You are not alone if your Internet
broker is giving you problems.
Here's why:

gomez.com

This problem is NOT, let me repeat, NOT specific to E*Trade. It is happening with ALL on-line brokers which have seen the sort of phenomenal growth that E*Trade is going through. Gomez currently rates E*Trade number one--that's right, NUMBER ONE--in overall service. Are they perfect? No. But according to Gomez, they are the best in the business.

I really hate to see this thread consumed with the sort of carping that goes on on the EGRP Yahoo thread, which is why I came over here. Over there, as many of you know, you have to wade through endless off-topic posts that are either complete spam or are off-topic relative to the movement of the stock. Speaking only for myself, of course, what I hope this thread returns to is analysis of where EGRP is going, and have folks who are upset about E*Trade's service take it to the appropriate SI thread, the URL which I posted earlier.
