The Captain was most flattering in his comments about the rhinestone collared one I wore to dinner that evening. Ahh yes. How could I forget? Quite ingenious to have one fabricated out of black taffeta rather than that icky rubber they're usually made out of. Although I hate to break it to you my dear. The Captain was merely being tactful in a captainly sort of way. Why else, pray tell, would he refer to you in the third person throughout the rest of the voyage as "Zat Verdammte Vestbrooook Vooooman"? Particularly after you asked him why such an ostensibly seaworthy vessel didn't even have a periscope.
