Yes SOX has doubled since Oct. But expand that chart to 5 years and notice this:

mid95 300
mid96 150
mid97 400
mid98 200
mid99 600

OK, so I cheated on mid99 but there is a strong case that semis have just begun an upcycle and, remember, chips are at the core of all the high tech businesses which are soaring now. Semis just gotta have their day before long!
