If I were you I'd be trying to find out why I'm not connecting at higher than 21.6k. Have you talked to your ISP? What kind of equipment are they using? Yes, you could have noisy phone lines.

Sam I hope Boardwatch and their really sharp editor Jack Rickard are bullish on USRX, afterall USRX pays them a lot of add space money.
December '96 issue has a beautiful 4 page inside cover display on x2 and Total Control etc.

x2 is going to give you a noticeable difference. x2 has mcuh higher compression rates also. Up to 230kbps.
