It is extremely important to hold Analysts accountable for their rationale. The downgrade itself is not important. More importantly, what is he going to say 3 months from now when SUNW's backlogged orders provide a great 2nd half. Most likely, He'll be hiding in the shadows providing no guidance. Most analysts today are too integrated with the marketing aspect of the business to provide sound, objective analysis. Second Tier Analysts have to differeniate themselves from the pack by uncovering "stories" that can make money for their clients. Their downgrades are often short term self-fufilling prophecies - that is their game. 1/22 Dan Niles Downgraded. In April, when SUNW reports earnings, I vow to revive Dan Niles name on this thread and see exactly how accurate he was and hold him accountable. If his concerns of a "decrease in back logged orders" are justified, then I will applaud him. If he is wrong - His name will be posted here over and over again. Either way, Dan Niles will not Hide in April.
