Aaron , Re AMD paid too much . Tell that to the investors pushing the stock up to a new 17 month high today , also brokerages such as Goldman Sachs with a buy rating and target price of $50 , Lehman bros with a target of $45 etc.etc. . By the way AMD did not pay anything for Nexgen , they diluted their stock from approx 105 mln to 137 mln , which might sound like a large amount of stock outstanding . It does not come near Intel's 888 mln shares however .
