My CPA told me I could take my Mark McGwire autographed baseball that, according to the market, is now worth at least $3 million, carry it on my books at $3 million then write it off because I'd never realize that much when I sell it. Does that mean I now have $6 million?

Of course, he said I'd need an MAI appraisal to back that up. You know. Made As Instructed.
