** OT **

** Only sometimes?? **

I'm just a pussycat and I'm always nice to have around.

Seriously, I'm a financial analyst, not an accountant, and there is a world of difference between the way we view things. Finance people like to deal with cash, while accountants deal with mysterious, amorphous concepts like earnings, and depreciation. Finance guys (and cats) talk to engineers, while accountants mainly talk to one another to figure out how to obscure the obvious. It might interest you to know that one of the the first things a finance guy tries to do is translate accounting data into cash flow. Not that long ago accountants used to prepare a statement called "changes in working capital". It had no intuitive meaning. None! Now, thank god, they prepare cash flow statements that are understandable by most people who take the time to read them.

That's why I keep urging you to read those sections of the 10-K and 10-Q that deal with cash flow and liquidity.

TTFN,
CTC
