surely you're not saying that the Dems have a monopoly on pork barrel projects? Come now!

No... but they're getting close... <VBG>

When was the last time you heard a democrat actively promote a private market solution over a public market one??

Who gave us the great society and 20 years of failed welfare programs that created dependency, not opportunity.

The Republicans aren't pure either, but they have a problem in that they are susceptible to having their shenanigans uncovered and roasted by their party. But Democrats are expected to promote the all-encompassing embrace of big government. Money and gov't can solve all of societies ills from my understanding of their political platforms.

However, once a Federal program is started and staffed by Federal employees, it is INCREDIBLY difficult to cut it or lay them off. Federal Employees have a very strong union.

Regards,

Ron
