Aaron , One thing I have noticed in the field of Hi-Tech , is the tendency of investors and analysts to try to put this type of company in a neat little package where the maximum a company's shares will sell for is calculated by some neat P/E calculation which will arrive at a scientifically accurate valuation , that type of thinking is as you put it ridiculous . Investors will bid up a stock to ridiculous hights on the basis that will see a rapid acceleration in revenues and earnings . To try to estimate AMD's earnings even 6 months ahead is fruitless at this point in time as there are so many variables . Those people that are buying this stock obviously have a very different viewpoint to yours . Who is right , time will tell , but my opinion is that you will be wondering how dumb you could have been in a few months time . regards
