I just searched South China Morning Post (at this link scmp.com , the major English newspaper in Hong Kong, and found following pieces of news. (I do not have log on access so I can't got the whole articles that are not from today. Try search on devalue and China). However the 3 pieces dated on Jan 22, 19 and Jan 12, all dismissed the devaluation possibility, including from a Chinese government official, Finance Minister Xiang Huaicheng:
