Dead thread--dead stock??

I bought this stock because Smart Money recommended it last year. I put it in my IRA. Now, one year later, it is slightly down from my buy price. AND no news in the Magazines or papers. Is there any reason to remain hopeful?? Where is the growth from this company? They only issue promises. One can not take promises to the bank.
