If you click on the URL under Tim Bourquin's name (at
the top of this thread) and then go to "trading stories"
there is an article that claims the SEC commissioned a
study by NASD economists that found the 100 rule resulted
in "no significant change...90% of orders still being
filled...". This article though is over a year old and
I too wonder about the current state of SOES trading.
Other SI threads on the subject of SOES are also largely
stale. Any comments from your Orange County folks, Tim
B.? Farther up the coast from you, here in Oregon we
have an All-Tech outlet but I hear they are questionable,
and under investigation. Does that just leave brokers
such as MB Trading and Castle, etc. offering daytrades
over ECN's to the at-home crowd?
