I agree Herb. The theme of the article is that the small "pure play" companies haven't performed yet, so why should they in the future. Since Japan has dominated the Lithium ion and television markets to date, they will also eventually take over the lith poly market.

The writer seemed to be frustrated by companies' secrecy concerning technology and progress toward commercialization, so generalizations were resorted to. Companies' finances are on record, and these were used as a sole means to access future competitiveness.

The statements in SEC documents, where negative, were cited as evidence that the small companies were behind. Positive comments by the CEO were dismissed.

Concerning lack of news from Japan, the writer cited this as possible evidence that something was brewing.
