Gateway released pretty good earnings numbers a few days ago. Their fourth quarter was strong, they moved a ton of units. Since Banshee is the default for the meat of their line, it means that 3dfx (and Creative) must of moved a significant number of chipsets.

Note that all indications are that Voodoo2 did well in Q4 and Banshee seemed to do well at retail also. Of course, Q1 is a little worrysome, but Banshee and V2 are still selling and I think the forward look to Q2 and onwards is what will count.

ps - made a few stabs at modeling 3dfx/STB. Nothing I came up with (in either my text or my numbers) added all that much to the articles I've already read. I'm going to "cheat" and wait till I hear what they say in the conference call before I post anything.
