I don't have the article in front of me but they said 18% of the floor space would be WMS. Does anyone else feel this is actually low considering the handful of major slot vendors?

Actually, if that's true that is pretty darn good considering IGT controls
the slot market. Also, since Mandalay Bay is owned by CIR this could foretell good things to come for the other casinos owned by them.
