I have read your last few posts about doing your own DD and NOT relying on analysts.......of course I agree. The problem is , for example, someone like me who is NOT in the industry and really does NOT understand fully the ramifications of new products, cycles, etc...competition from msft and Lord knows who else......WE REALLY HAVE LITTLE CHOICE but to listen to the "experts". I am not saying blindly follow their advice but you must admit they usually have an effect on the price of the stock. Actually, I find the threads more helpful and then use the analysts recommendations as a confirming factor.....plus I use info in IBD. Peace
