SR is a development stage company with an initial product soon to be released. They've received seeding from a group of private investors, thus far, from what I am able to discern both from some private communications, and the press at large.
We're covering it for its technological merit, attempting to decipher its relevance, hoping that it might serve as a harbinger of release from the status quo alternatives. At the same time, we are trying to plot the trajectory of the all-optical network, with the corresponding down trend, or obsolescence, as it were, of other [prevailing] technologies which have been embraed, and now virtually institutionalized, by the service provider community. DWDMdom, SONET-ization, IEEE-ization, and IETF-ipification, are the games to beat, or subsume, in particular.
Okay, so I've taken a little license here with the English language. But I think the main point is clear.
As investment opportunities make themselves known, in the way of either press releases or other communications suited for public disclosure, I would hope to see [or post] such information here.
