"Their vested interested blinded them. "

What vested interest did Motorola have to protect against lithium polymer batteries? You don't make sense. Motorola had a vested interest in VLNC's success. Motorola had a very close look at VLNC and said no thanks. It is as much aware of VLNC now as it was in 1993. As for analogy, mine was to IBM vs. Microsoft and Wang/IBM/DEC against Apple. Keep your MOT example and try again.

As for Barron's journalism, while you are checking, look at the article touting VLNC before the first failure to deliver.

One more thing, it turns out the Annual Report you apparently shudder to mention by name contained all of the factual information anyone needed to know to predict that VLNC would tank by more than 50% afterwards. Could it happen again? ASk "nimble John" afterwards.

Who among you would have thought it possible that a Barron's report in late January 1999 would be able to report what it has about the state of the lith poly sector?

Vendetta against VLNC? Your view John.
