The pr was not at all clear as to how many acres are for sale. Is it 700 or 700000? The language about thirds was also unclear. I hate this kind of sloppiness in reporting/announcing. It ALWAYS makes me suspicious. Anyway, if they were to sell 1/3 of the Brazilian land and got $96mm U.S. dollars for it the gross price per acre would be about $390. Is that realistic? I don't know. What is the stump value of timber on those acres? Is there any residual value after logging? If so for what and how much? If they were to sell twice as many acres for the price then per acre we are at $195. Large tracts of land sell for relatively low prices per acre, Madera certainly paid less than this. Wouldn't it be nice to know more details? I ask these questions here because Madaera has not responded to my earlier questions which I both faxed and emailed to them. I'm not seriously unhappy here and am still about a mile long even after taking about 75% profits on my total investment but I think they can do so much better letting all of us know what is up. I hate typos too, so there.
