It's real unfortunatelly. My system (7.5.5) keeps crashing. I can't wait till Next or Copland (trashed now) gives me multitasking and memeory protection and that sort of things (in 1999?). Apple's lost the leadership in technology (despite incanatations how much better MacOS is than Win95 or even NT) and that's sad. Cyberdog? Open Doc? E-mate? Who cares? Powerbook 1400 has a CD-ROM. Great! Just that it happened 2 years later than at Wintel. On top of that comes extremely poor marketing (preaching to the converted), lousy demand forecasting (PB debacle after Mission Impossible and Independence Day) and and a strategy (hardware or software, targeted markets - corporate or cionsumer, system design or middleware, etc.) The Street does not understand what's going on and neither do I.
