Because of the low float it trades in a very volatile way and it is a high technology stock. Internet stocks were the rage but now wireless and wireless/telephone looks like it is the number one stock of interest at the moment. If I am right these types of stocks might have similar run ups to the internet. Although $15 is being mentioned as a near term target but if these companies have the same interest as the cyber commerce issues of a few weeks ago who knows how high it could run up. I don't want to sound crazy but if that occurs $50 is possible if a similar mania occurs in the wireless category. Mergers and rumors of mergers are fueling much of it as companies try to position for the highly likely advent of wireless being dominant in the long term. The market anticipates that wireless will replace many hard wired connections. Also the number of MM's who are active is about a median in number. In other words, the number of active market makers is not large in my opinion but rather average. The rumor mill suggests that considerable good news is likely this week and that the stock could see $15. $15 is not unrealistic as $13 was reached at a peak and a new base has been established around $9 or $10. The stock seemed to be quite stable in the $9 or $10 range. I assume that the profit takers are gone at this level. Friday was a down day in the market overall and many people take their money out over the weekend in an uncertain market. In regard to the trades after the close, who knows whats going on there but perhaps some are anticipating next week as being the "big" week for USRF.
