Hi All, Don't get down.....
Just read the write up for E'Prime in Jane's Space Directory for 1998-1999. It reads....
EPAC is offering its EagleS-series solid propellant orbital launches employing stages derived from Peacekeeper motors. Improvements include changing from Kevlar casings to graphite. The primary launch site would be at the Devil's Ash Pit on the UK's Ascension Island (polar missions from Vandenberg AFB) with the vehicle ejected by high-pressure steam from its cannister before stage 1 ignition. The Eagle and Eagle S-1 carry a bipropellant Postboost Vehicle (PBV) derived from Peacekeepers stage 4. The Sll would carry the USTM (Unified transfer Module) or the PASS (Payload Assist Subsystem) USTM is planned as a generic satallite bus containing the essentialsubsystems and a payload compartment for a customer payload (usually the electronics and antenas that are integrated into the bus). USTM contains a gimballed bipropellant low-thrust engine for apogee or other orbital manoeuvreing. PASS, attached to USTM and later seperated, is a gimballed high-thrust bipropellant engine module for perigee or other manoeuvreing. The larger Slll/S-lV would be launched in the future from Cape Canaveral.
The Eagle/PBV combination would deliver 1,360kg.into LEO for 10 million dollars, the EagleSl/PBV 2,722kg. LEO for 20 million dollars and the EagleSll/PASS 1,716kg. GTO for 30 million dollars
The company's debut Loft 1 was launchedNov. 17 1988 from Canaveral's complex 47 to 4.6km altitude carrying a 15.5kg. educational payload.
