Hi Dennis, I believe you are correct about Motorola's comments applying to earlier product versions. I have a feeling that if the editor was challenged to reveal if he has spoken with Motorola or Energizer recently, we would hear a different story.

I also believe Valence is aware of Asian strategy and not concerned because of the competitive advantage of Li polymer and its low manufacturing cost. It helps also to have patented so many materials such as manganese oxide, forcing much of the competition to use higher-cost Cobalt oxide as cathode material, as appears to be the case with T&B & Matsushita. I remain confident that Valence has the best product and will be first to produce in high volume.
