To all: I talked to Phil Barton of Seeq's investor relations yesterday (800-333-7766). He went over the conference call for me. They are doing business with more companies so the percent of business to the largest customers is decreasing and so less dependent on them. Business with Intel is increasing.
I asked how the new alliances will work. These companies will pay royalties for using Seeq's product designs (no sale of hard product) in their products. This should help Seeq's profit margins.
Seeq doesn't always release news when a customer starts using one of their products (design win) because it may help one of their competitors or the customer doesn't want them to do so. Wait until earnings come out.
Sales people are important for these design wins because other companies have the same product. Seeq hired a new head of sales and new head of Research and development last year so maybe this will make a difference.
Phil said there will be more new product news releases this quarter. I forgot to ask him if Seeq will be at any trade shows or conferences. Maybe someone else knows about this.
