Look at all the firms, consultants, news agencies making piles of money off this fear.

Far less money is passing hands than you would assume by the headlines.

The certainty of COBOL programmers making $200,000 per year has finally been shown to be a fantasy.

I'd guess the folks making the money (aside from some big consultancies like IBM Global Services, Keane, etc.) is the PR/ad agencies cranking out the lurid pictures.
