Here's the only NR reference I remember - "Small black fragments observed in some of these boulders have been identified by tests in Geological Survey of Canada (Calgary) laboratories as fragments of coal-like material." - #reply-3206015 ... no reference to wood ... then Chris asks - #reply-3215580 - and Walt responds - #reply-3216101 ... and - #reply-3217336 ... just speculation, I don't remember any more on it from the company .... they've likely analysed the black bits thoroughly as part of the process of categorising each mineral class present, but they haven't said anything about it.
