"What I have come to like least about the company is that everything is shrouded in mystery and speculation. It's hard to know what is really going on."

I disremember precisely when you became an avid ABTX shareholder, but my recollection is that in days past ... months past, actually ... Dr T and his staff were pretty good about communicating with shareholders. His Chairman's Notes, or whatever, on the company's Web site were pretty informative and usually current. Nothing was "shrouded in mystery".

Remember that they have been operating under silence constraints due to the possible buy in, so during the past few months have been unable to communicate as they wish. In an information vacuum, "speculation" tends to expand to fill the vacuum.

Certainly the "suspension" of previously-announced plans to find a buyer/partner is a material event, in the eyes of the SEC. So once the company made this determination, the company was required to publish the news immediately. There was no opportunity to prepare detailed position papers or to pre-brief friendly news media so that the complete and "correct" story could be told. This is the price we pay, in return for the openness generated by SEC full disclosure rules. In general we are well-served by those rules ... just not this time <wry grin>.

I dare say that there will be complete and detailed information available to all of us ... perhaps even Monday ... and delivered in true Dr T style.
