John, let me take a shot at ELY as well ELY was another stock that convinced me that FA had some seroius flaws as an investment tool. It caused me some pain in 1997, and I hadn't looked at it in a long time. Funny how the bad taste remains long after the bad experience. ELY may well have broken its down trend. But, I would never buy it in front of earnings. I'm from Missouri on this one and it is going to have to show me. It has too great a habit of running up in front of earnings, disappointing, and getting killed. Maybe, just maybe, they have finally turned it around. Until proven, I would just play the short term.
