<<<INTC,LU,and CSCO....Boy!I can sleep with those names...>>

Hmmm! I'd have to substitute names such as Kathy Ireland, Teri Hatcher, etc :) but hey whatever makes you happy! :)

Well, Im not too happy about the capital gains taxes! I just did on paper what my taxes will be for jan 99 alone, and the taxes alone are more than I MADE in EARNINGS in 1998 (CRAZY!!!!!) (WHY AM I WORKING??)

I had a great January mind you! But still... I think I have to start a money market account just to store money for all these taxes. At least this year (1999) I can get away with not paying the quarterly taxes that I hear most traders must pay... but I am sure after 99's tax return the IRS will ask me to start paying quarterly.

I like your picks but isnt ASND being bought and isnt the share price set in stone yet? (I dont follow it closely but I thought the deal was a few weeks ago)

No I dont watch Rukeyser... have to have some social life ya know:)

He see's rates that low? (is Lawrence Kudlow a famous guy or something?) I think 4-4.5 is incredibly optimistic!!. (but I would love it as I'd like to buy my 1st house this year at those rates!)

I don't know if Greenspan will lower rates in the next 6 months... I think he doesnt want to incite the stock market. I am sure he is not happy with what is happening in the internet sector. I also think Europe is strong at this point... and the Far East is starting a LONG and SLOW recovery (i hope)

I am not saying he will raise rates, I just dont see any easing in the near term.... then again if Brazil dies and creates pressure on Mexico then he might be forced too.

Personally, I still don't like the very short term in the market as a whole. I'd prefer to see a retracement of another 500 points on the DOW or so, then I'd be happy. A little fear would be good for the market's medium/longer term health.

I wonder if anyone has done a study on the market's performance in April as people have to sell off stock to pay Uncle Sam... hmmm...

Mark
