It's simple. It can't. Iomega's 40MB Flop! drive has no chance at all of replacing CompactFlash. There is no concern from OEM's whatsoever concerning the stupendous reliability and performance of CompactFlash. It also uses very little power.

Iomega's Flop! drive on the other hand is a chinsy mechanical device that can be prone to breakage and result in costly OEM warranty repairs. If a Flop! drive is built-in, when the Flop! drive breaks, the WHOLE device (camera, PDA, GPS unit, car stereo/PC, etc.) must be returned to the manufacturer.

The last thing an OEM needs is a costly warranty repair. And Flop! would most likely supply them with all the OEM warranty repairs they can handle.
