RE: Rankin Research Corporation - Announcement
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--Rankin Research Corporation is pleased to
announce that it's stolen vehicle recovery system, The Boomerang,
recovered over $300,000.00 worth of cars in just one week.
Saturday, October 24, 1998 at 2:00 p.m., a 1999 Mercedes 600CL V12
went missing near Pearson International Airport.
The Ontario recovery crew located the vehicle in a hotel parking
lot near Toronto shortly after it was reported stolen. Ontario
police responded quickly. The owner was very pleased when the
vehicle was located only miles away from where it was stolen with
absolutely no damage.
The Commercial Union insurance Company of Toronto avoided paying a
claim of over $200,000.00 due to the Boomerang system.
On the following Saturday, October 31, 1998 at 6:45 a.m., a 1996

parking lot in Andover, Massachusetts. The car was last seen the
previous night at around 11:30 in the neighboring city of Andover.
Fortunately for the Nissan owner the vehicle was equipped with a
Boomerang stolen vehicle recovery system.
Using Boomerang's technology, the vehicle was located and
recovered 3 miles northeast from where it was last seen with the
aid of the Methuen Police Department. The car is reportedly
valued at over $105,000.00.
This latest incident marks the first time that Boomerang was
