Haim, Barron's based forecast as requested: January 24, 1999 Week=STRONG UP Mon=U,Tu=U,W=U,Th=U VIX=500 UP points up VGY=Sell DJIA mom (377) =near low Gut feeling - sell-off and reversal mid-week Volatility=decreasing Overall-UP Evaluation of last week's forecast: (none provided) NOTE: BUY WITH BOTH HANDS TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY(BWDIK/IMHO) Other items of interest: Call/put trading volumes 20 to 1 based on equity calls to index puts (highest in many, many months). SCY ratio is over 1.0 strongly bearish but not extremely so. Market Watch advisors strongly bearish which is bullish. Oddlot short sales doubled with is extremely bullish. ------------------------------------------------------------- This all paints a mixed but bullish picture... one with volatility and yet the possibility of as much as a 1,000 point move up from the low of the week.
