Lazarre: Reagan was known as the "great communicator". I had the opportunity to meet the man in NH at a political forum when he was candidate Reagan. I spoke with him personally and I was greatly impressed by his wit, his charm and his politics. I don't believe all the bunk'em I read in the papers and other media about Reagan. I worked for both his campaigns here in NH. You should not believe all that hoo-haa the media has spewed forth either. As for the battle in the Senate trial, I, like the House managers, would prefer to go down fighting to the last man. The principles at stake are very important despite the potential political fallout to the Repub party, I believe they must be pursued to the "bitter end". I suspect in the final analysis, Clinton will escape the justice he truly deserves. No doubt he has been badly scarred already, however, I believe his actions warrant removal and nothing less. The rule of law protects us all Lazarre and Mr. Clinton has shredded it. JLA
