red, What the "man on the street" doesn't realize or appreciate, is that the southern pipe field in the Slave craton(where Winspear is located), is represented field wide by the occurance of (but not exclusively) Type II kimberlite. De Beers fully appreciates this and is trying to tie up all the real estate they can by JV's with juniors. This southern pipe field, IMO will prove to be much more valuable and productive than the northern pipe field where Ekati and Diavik are located. De Beers is obviously looking for pipes like their Finsch mine in South Africa. From an exploration perspective, in terms of the relative size of this type II kimberlite field, and its potential diamond resource and productive capacity, I would rank it number one in the world at this time, as no doubt does De Beers. IMO, many people will be astonished by just how hot this play gets, and the effect it will have on the share price of Winspear. regards, teevee |
