Q1 99 earnings prediction (observation and/or question):
First, I guess I've got to get a sound card and speakers for this machine so that I can listen to the CC's directly, so the info I refer to here has been taken off of this thread.
Analysts' predictions (average) $0.04
Glore's prediction from Q4 announcement/CC $0.00
But, since the analysts made their predictions, Iomega bought SyQuest, after Q1 99 began. Someone on this thread who is (presumably) good with a calculator said that this purchase will cost about $0.035/share. If this is the case, it looks like there is no meaningful discrepancy between the two above statements, since the analysts made their predictions prior to the purchase and Iomega will not "miss the numbers" once this (fire sale) purchase of assets is carried out. Unfortunately, if this is the case, no one has yet to figure it out (except me, but I'm too small to notice). Maybe there's some way of getting the word out.
Now, (1) does this analysis make sense, and, if it does, (B) did I miss someone saying it before, and, if I didn't, (III) when will the big players figure it out so that I can sell my measly number of shares for my humongous profit?
