Oh boy, I have to catch up. Can't leave the juicy news here for a week. I was out of town till mid-week.

Things:

For NC World -
Interview w/ Doug - still to come. We have been waiting to complete
our interview with IBM which has been shoved back several times.
It is going through today. Based on those questions we might have
some additional Q's for Doug. In other words, the interview with
Doug is getting pushed back another month, March, which is also
our first issue as a full magazine.

NCD Explora/HMX review - delayed indefinitely by NCD. They informed
us that they were not ready to be reviewed and wanted a few more
months until their product comes more into line with the general
NC market. Please don't bite my head off. This is what NCD's PR group
told me. It seems that PR is more unsure of the product than the
company itself. We will go without a review in Feb.

March is our grand opening launch. Until now NC World has been a
virtual excerpt as our publisher calls it for our other magazines
JavaWorld, SunWorld, NetscapeWorld. Hope for big things to come.

Other things:
Security chips/cards - The Smartcard system has been on the spotlight
recently with several vendors on the way to implementing them. As yet
most customers haven't found a burning need for them and so most
vendors don't provide it en masse. NC promises to push it into the
mainstream in the US (it's got a bit of support in Europe and Australia)
