Exponential Tech.'s 533 mghz processor will be in Mac models soon. Apple is planning a single and a 2 processor model using the processor long before year's end. Clone makers will have models sooner. PowerComputing was advertising a 4 processor model running 300 mghz chips at MacWorld. Motorola & IBM will have 604e and 603e chips with new boards running at 300+ mghz in late spring. By fall the Mac models will be demonstrating their built in FireWire and other bus improvements with these new chip families. The 604e chip due in fall will be speeded up to 400+ by early '98.
