Sure would be nice to know if the P2B-F is a newer version and if it has newer chips on it.

The P2B-F is a new board. I found one vendor out of a LOT of ASUS vendors that told me he just received his first shipment Friday. The common response was 'you mean the FIVE PCI slot board'.
I do not know if it has any new 'chips' on it. I would guess some components are new. New boards have new bioses and new bioses are more likely to have bugs. IMO five slot PCI boards are the way to go.
